Iâve always imagined there was a place that existed between worldsâ
a threshold, a resting point, a crossroads where all stories converge.
A place where travelers could lay down their burdens, warm themselves by the fire, and whisper truths they dare not say elsewhere.
The Veilwalkerâs Lodge is that place.
Itâs been living in my imagination for years, quietly tapping its lantern-light against the glass.
Now, at last, the doors are open.
But the Lodge didnât begin with me.
No, its origins lie deeperâ
in myth, in magic, and in the very bones of the worlds I write.
Let me take you thereâŠ
đđ„ The Lore of HaraâSill
The Sanctuary Between Realms
There are forests in this worldâand othersânot mapped on any chart.
Forests older than kingdoms, older than gods, older than memory.
Deep within one such ancient wood stands a structure built of stone, oak, and stubborn dwarven craft.
A tavern. A refuge. A meeting place.
But locals will tell you it isnât entirely there.
Not always.
Sometimes the Lodge stands solidly in its clearing, lantern glowing warm against the mist.
Other nights, it flickersâhalf-rooted in the mortal world, half-shimmering in realms beyond.
Scholars call it a conjunction point.
Sorcerers call it a hinge of worlds.
Old dwarves call it HaraâSillâ
The Hearth Between.
Within its walls, danger cannot trespass.
Magic cannot twist or corrupt.
Fate itself softens, allowing even the most hunted traveler a moment of stillness.
Some say the lodge was built around an ancient sigil in the earth.
Others claim the sigil came later, carved by hand and flame.
Either way, the mark remains:
A crescentâ
opening upward, like cupped hands receiving the sky.
And rising from its cradle, a flame that never dies.
The symbol of HaraâSill. The mark of sanctuary.
A promise carved into the fabric of the worlds:
Here, you are safe.
Here, you may rest.
Here, your story continues.
đŻïž A Place for All Who Wander
Travelers from countless realms have passed through HaraâSillâs doors:
Rangers fleeing the ruins of their homeland.
Scholars with ink-stained fingers and dangerous ideas.
Runewrights carrying half-finished spells that hum beneath their breath.
Wayward souls searching for belonging.
Monsters seeking redemption.
Heroes seeking a quiet corner.
Ordinary people bearing extraordinary burdens.
All are welcome here.
And now, so are you.
