THE REALM-TICKS OF HARA’SILL
Along the sides of the rune’s doorway
are small notches known as realm-ticks.
Every tick marks a crossing.
Every crossing strengthens the magic.
Some say each tick aligns the Lodge
with another world.
Others claim the ticks represent those
who found sanctuary within its walls.
Whatever the truth,
the more realm-ticks a Hara’Sill rune bears,
the older and more powerful it becomes.
The lantern’s rune is said to have
more ticks than can be counted.
