❄️🔥 LODGE TAVERN BIO — THE WAYFARER (‘ASTRAE’)
As spoken by a Winter-Fae who is trying to be polite, but failing gracefully.
“…If you insist on calling me something,”
he says, voice cold as starlit frost,
“you may call me Astrae.”
A pause.
A slight tilt of the hood.
A smile that is not comforting.
“You would not be able to pronounce my true name.
Your tongues were not shaped for such sounds.
So…I offer you this shard of it.
A courtesy.”
He settles back into the shadows.
I am a wanderer.
A watcher.
A keeper of paths better left untraveled.
The road bends strangely for my kind, and I follow where the cold calls.
I come to the Lodge when the realms grow restless.
When the Veil stirs.
When things ancient begin to wake beneath the frost.
The fire here tolerates me.
The ale does not — it freezes.
The cat… I have no comment on.
If you sit near me, mind your questions.
Mortals often ask what they cannot bear to know.
Do not touch my gloves.
Do not offer me iron.
Do not attempt to guess the rest of my name.
You will be wrong.
And it will cost you.
For now… Astrae will do.
— Astrae
Shard-name of Astraevin Vaeryn’thiel Myr Suthravyn of the Winterbound Court.
Wanderer. Watcher. Uncomfortably patient.
